dining before/after...

we just stumbled on some old pictures of our house, this was taken before we bought it. i really can't believe we bought this place, it was pretty gross.

then and now...

here is a good before, middle and now of our kitchen/dining. man i'm so glad we finally took the step to make it ours. last pic by emily chidester photography.

summer eats...

new play area...

ahhhh much better... the records were a magnet for junie to get into, so we moved them to the living room and moved in her bookcase from her bedroom. we spend a lot of time in the dining room so we decided since she is so mobile this would be best for her main play/learning area...

from OWI found via bloesem...

i want grey floors in my kitchen/dining room.

today i took down a ceiling fan and a flourescent light fixture and installed some better looking (cheap) alternatives. makes such a huge difference i don't know why it took me so long... we still have to do some ceiling patch up...

just have flooring and lighting to do now....

i did some re-arranging of the dining room the other day...i think it's a little more cozy now.

my grandma dot used to make quilted table runners and placemats for holiday gifts, so this modern one i love... i am pretty fond of the applique not so much with quilting...

i won the furniture lottery and scored these saarinen executive chairs on craigslist. they're in great condition, just a little dirty and they have all their knoll stickers on the bottom!! i'm in love.

this picture has been in my inspiration folder forever, someday i will have shelves like those...

this photo was taken by william abranowicz via desire to inspire.
