crochet class...

i am teaching a beginning crochet class every thursday in January at The Art Room!!! it is open to ages 4+ and the cost is $15/per class. with that $15 you get a "bunch" reusable tote bag, a skein of yarn, and a crochet hook!! pretty good deal huh!! please come join us we would love to make some new friends!

we just stumbled on some old pictures of our house, this was taken before we bought it. i really can't believe we bought this place, it was pretty gross.

i thrifted this cute denim dress the other day for junie and it was a little boring so i added some polka dots with some fabric paint and an eraser. now i want to polka dot my wardrobe.

spray magic...

a little before and after quick project. i was cleaning up my laundry room and discovered a bunch of half done projects so i quickly finished them up with some matte black spray paint left over from another project. the basket is now a baby bed, for our ever growing baby collection and the cup hanger i'm going to use for my crocheted mushrooms, and the other thing i think i will use to collect mail and stuff...

i went on a craigslist rampage the last couple of weeks, this was my last find a "dollhouse bookcase"... i wasn't happy with the quality of the bookcase but the fact that it was shaped like a house won me over. i painted it all white and added some fun paper to the backing. i am really happy with how it turned out, now junie's room is officially a toddler room!!!

saw this shuffle table at emmasdesignblogg and desiretoinspire blog, i think it would be a fun d.i.y piece. i also saw it done on a smaller scale at market last year in high gloss white.

today i took down a ceiling fan and a flourescent light fixture and installed some better looking (cheap) alternatives. makes such a huge difference i don't know why it took me so long... we still have to do some ceiling patch up...
